In 1950, Mr. George began working for the United States Postal Service in Denver, where he continued to teach classes at Colorado State University. He retired from postal service service in 1980 after a twenty-year career working as a postal employee.
During his career he completed a Masters Degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a PhD from the University of Colorado at Denver under the supervision of Dr. Robert E. Ritchie.
Mr. George also was the recipient of an honorary Doctorate Degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. From 1967 to 1986 he worked as a contract writer for The Rocky Mountain News, where he received several awards for his work.
He is also an accomplished author of several books on various topics, including "How to Stop Smoking," "How to End a Problem," "How to Raise a Child," "How to Make Friends," and "My Story."
